Biography
Meet Marcus King, MBA.
Marcus is a leader in travel, technology & business holding degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University. As an international educator he has visited all major continents and helped sponsor 1000+ passports for students to study abroad. He actively coordinates Title III and Study Abroad Capacity Building grants to support HBCU students. He is a contributing author to published books including The Half Not Yet Told: Study Abroad & HBCUs: and the Frontier's Special Section on International Education and HBCUs. Marcus has also been a frequent speaker and presenter at international conferences including NAFSA & Diversity Abroad
In addition to his role as an international educator Marcus is also a seasoned entrepreneur previously featured in HBCU Money & Ebony Magazine amongst other publications. He is the founder of travel brand Hardly Home and the Black History In The Making movement. He is skilled in apparel merchandising and e-commerce strategies which he uses to consult small businesses and young entrepreneurs.
